I'm talking about Deviantart overall (don't know about what pokeball you are speaking). But anyway I saw a lot of very rough and quick sketches, that are much more popular than a real masterpieces. Same with a 3D art. It sounds strange, but for example a render with a really low-poly ugly face can be more popular than a beautiful sculpt with a millions of polygons. That is sad...

Not to talk about all those LOVELY "kawai" (preferably) pink unicorns or so called "anthro characters" (means "I failed at trying to draw a human so I tried to change it into cat/dog but I got stuck halfway through." :D) drawn in MS Paintbrush... ;) :P

I heard a lot of complains about this unicorns, but unfortunately (or fortunately) I didn't saw them here on DA (maybe one or two, but this doesn't count). Maybe it's because I'm subscribed mainly on 3D art groups.
As for sculptor and modeler the main annoying thing for me is an enormously big amount of shitty DAZ or Poser renders (this is when people doesn't create their own characters but rather using preexisted content). And the most disturbing thing is when they call themselves "character artists"
